Jessica is a first year as a doctoral student at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. She earned her undergraduate degree in deaf education and taught deaf and hard of hearing students at the Alaska State School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing for three years. She plans on focusing her research on reading comprehension and vocabulary knowledge of deaf and hard of hearing students during her doctoral career.
