Jessica became involved with the ASLLRP while a first year doctoral student at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. Having earned her undergraduate degree in deaf education and taught deaf and hard of hearing students at the Alaska State School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing for three years, she has focused, in her graduate work at Harvard, on reading comprehension and vocabulary knowledge of deaf and hard of hearing students. Jessica continues her association with these projects in her current faculty position at the University of Georgia.
