PhD student Megan M. Brown will be giving a lightning talk about her research as a 2021 Pardee Graduate Summer Fellow at the upcoming Pardee Center Fall Reception on Sep. 8, starting at 4pm. The event will take place on the Towers Lawn at 140 Bay State Road; RSVP here.

Megan examined “the political and socio-cultural status of the English language in the United States, and how the promotion of so-called ‘English-Only’ policies and their associated language attitudes negative affect language acquisition and maintenance for multilingual Americans”.
